Welcome to the Laxey Working Men’s Institute – “The Institute”

Over the last 4 years a group of hardy volunteers have completely restored this building, with the help of grants and donations into an amazing Arts and Community Centre in the heart of Laxey

The building consists of 2 floors the Main Hall has a stage, full PA and lighting systems. It could be used for anything from meetings, lectures, music & drama events to parties, functions, exercise & dance classes. The Lower floor along with the toilets and kitchen is divided into 2 rooms a small meeting room linked via double doors to a larger room suitable for parties, exercise and dance classes.

This is a non-profit making Charity run by volunteers all the money raised goes toward the up keep of the building. If you have any ideas for future events or you feel you would like to volunteer some time please contact us.
